Bob Chilcott: Making Waves

for SSA (with divisions) unaccompanied. This piece was composed in honour of the centenary of Marconi’s first transoceanic wireless signal. The theme of the work, sound waves, is evoked through overlapping phrases sung ad lib., and the music as a whole conjures up an air of mystery and romance which is sure to appeal to many choirs.
